1974 Wedgwood Jasperware Christmas Plate

Wedgwood issued its first annual Christmas plate in 1969. This series of blue and white jasperware Christmas plates featured landmarks from London and the surrounding areas and districts bordered in holly

The center features the applied white jasper 3D dimensional setting of The Houses Of Parliament

A framing of white jasper holly surrounds the edging
Jasper is an unglazed fine stoneware able to receive numerous colors and bear finely modeled decoration in relief. Each motif is made individually from clay and is hand applied to the colored background

No original box or papers

Plate measures 8 inches across
