Location: Indianapolis, Indiana Job Title: Safety, Health & Security Consultant Job Description: This position is responsible for managing safety, health and security processes and providing leadership for all matters related to employee safety and health. Candidate will also be responsible for monitoring compliance with internal safety and health requirements, as well as external regulatory agencies. Candidate will support operational personnel to ensure that systems are in place to drive continuous improvement in employee safety programs, regulatory compliance, workers compensation and injury/collision experience. Coordinate facility safety / security related occurrence root cause investigations and implement appropriate preventative follow-up actions. Participate in administrative team support for warehouse SHS issues. Support SHS training and development needs. Education/Experience/Skills/Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Safety is required with a preference to have a Masters degree in Safety or Health field. A minimum of three years of experience directly managing employee safety and health issues is required. A Masters degree can substitute for the required experience. Strong technical experience in OSHA/DOT/FMCSR regulatory standards is required. Candidate must have the ability to work with all levels of management and manage multi-functional teams. CSP or CDS preferred. ASP, CSP, CDS, CPP Certifications are desirable and helpful. Working knowledge of CTPAT and CFAT helpful Self motivation, excellent time management skills, excellent verbal / writing skills and team orientation are important skill sets Travel Required: 20% Relocation: N/A |
