Description

Please call 765-456-1788 with any questions.

This really is a nice 2001 Pontiac Grand AM SE with 98000 miles. The car has averaged less then 12300 miles per year. That's pretty good considering most average drivers put 15000 miles per year on a car.

Within the last 50 miles the oil and filter was changed, serpentine belt was replaced, all spark plugs replaced, ball joint replaced, All the fluids have been topped off and the car was inspected by my mechanic. My mechanic has been working on cars for 15 years, working for a big new car dealership here in town, he is very good and all my cars go to him for the inspection and reconditioning. He has his own ASE certified shop and does anything from oil changes to rebuilding engines. I personally drive all the cars i sell for a few days. This one i put approx 300 miles on and it drives great. Its quiet, smooth and great on gas.

Mechanically
The Grand Am does not have any leaks, it doesn't leave any drops of oil on the ground and it does not burn any oil. The engine does not make any abnormal noises, no ticking or knocking. It idles very smooth when in park and accelerates without any hesitation or jerking. These cars last a very long time with regular maintenance so if you continue the good maintenance, you will get alot of miles out of this car. The transmission shifts smooth with no issues, it doesn't clunk or shift in to gear hard. Highway passing gear is also great with no abnormal "jerking". There are no mechanical issues with this Pontiac. At highway speeds the car drives great with no abnormal drive train noises. I wouldn't hesitate to drive the car on a long trip.

Electrical
The ac and heat works great. All the power windows, power sunroof, power mirrors and power locks work like they should. The CD player works and so does the cruise control. All the other electrical equipment works like they should.

Exterior
The Pontiac was garaged kept by the previous owner and it definitely shows. The over all paint condition is very good for a 8 year old car. The paint is very glossy and free of any fading or clear coat issues.
But just like every vehicle that has actually been driven on the road and not parked in a garage for car shows, there are a few minor cosmetic chips and scuffs. They are very minor and hard to see unless you get approx a half a foot away from the car or right at eye level. If your walking around the car it looks great and the paint is not faded anywhere. The minor flaws are not major but its there and i have taken over 60 high resolution pictures of it so you can see. I have taken photos of all the chips and scuffs with a caption above the photo so you can see them. Again, they are very minor and if your walking around the car its very hard to see, you have to get very close (eye level) to see these. But they are there and i just want to describe the car as best as i can.
There are a few small chip on the hood that have been touched up, a small scuff on the front bumper by the front license plate cover. Scuff on the rear driver side bumper corner. Scuff on the front driver side bumper, couple small chips on the driver and pass side door molding and a tiny ding on the roof and hood.
Interior
The interior is very clean, the seats and carpet are exceptionally clean for the age. The head liner is free of any stains. The driver seat does not have any tears or rips like most 8+ year old vehicles do and there are no abnormal odors in the car. The rear seats are very clean as well. Please take a look at the pictures, i have alot of close up pictures of the interior so you can get a good idea of the condition.
