This really is a nice 2002 Chevy Cavalier with 79467 miles. The car has averaged less then 11400 miles per year. That's pretty good considering most average drivers put 15000 miles per year on a car.

Within the last 10 miles i had the car inspected by my mechanic. My mechanic has been working on cars for 15 years, working for a big new car dealership here in town, he is very good and all my vehicles go to him for the inspection and reconditioning. He has his own ASE certified shop and does anything from oil changes to rebuilding engines.

He inspected it and told me its a very solid little car. He looked it over and took it for a test drive, it did not need brakes and the engine/transmission did not have any issues. He replaced the oil and filter and also made sure all the other fluids looked good, which they did.

The previous owner purchased this car brand new, she had the timing chain replaced at a Chevy dealership August of this year (just 2 months ago). When they replaced the timing chain they also replaced the tensioner and timing chain cover, basically the whole timing chain kit. At the same time the dealership also replaced the spark plugs wires along with installing new spark plugs. So the major 80000 mile tune up was just done less then 60 days ago. This is approx a $700 tune up, so you can feel good knowing that it has been done. She also had the brakes replaced in July of this year. I also have the paperwork for the parts installed.
I am including a warranty at no charge as an added piece of mind for the next owner.

Mechanically
I personally drive all the vehicles i sell for a few days to get a good idea of the mechanical condition. This one i put approx 50 miles on and it drives great in town and on the highway. Its really a great running car, the engine is very smooth at highway speeds and the car drives great in town.
The engine does not make any abnormal noises when you first start it up in the morning, no ticking or knocking. It idles very smooth when in park and accelerates without any hesitation or jerking. The transmission shifts smooth with no issues at all, it doesn't clunk or shift in to gear hard. The steering is very tight and does not feel "loose" when going over bumps or making sharp turns in parking lots. Highway passing gear is also great with no abnormal "jerking". The 2.2L 4-cyl in the car is a well known engine in the GM line-up, they have had the engine around for over 10 years. They put this engine in S-10 pickup's, cobalts, saturn's, aleros and some of their other small size GM vehicles. If you search online you will find alot of them will well over 150,000 miles still in excellent running condition, this one has right under 84000 miles so it still has alot of life left and there are no mechanical issues with this car at all.

Electrical
The AC blows ice cold and heat works great, the CD player, AM/FM radio works and so does the power door locks. There are no electrical issues with the car.

Exterior
The Cavalier was well cared for by the previous owner and it definitely shows. The over all paint condition is very nice and glossy.
But just like every vehicle that has actually been driven on the road and not parked in the garage for car shows, there are a few minor cosmetic chips and scuffs. They are very minor and hard to see unless you get approx a half a foot away from the car or right at eye level. If your walking around the car it looks great and the paint is not faded anywhere. The minor flaws are not major but its there and i have taken over 70 high resolution pictures of it so you can see. I have taken photos of all the chips and scuffs with a caption above the photo so you can see them. Again, they are very minor and if your walking around the car they dont stand out, you have to get very close (eye level) to see these. But they are there and i just want to describe the car as best as i can.
There are 5-6 very small rock chips on the hood that have been touched up, there is a tiny chip on the driver fender thats been touched up. There are some scratches on the driver side rear quarter panel and a dent under the driver side rear tail light. There is also a tiny door ding on the driver door. Take a look at the photo album link at the bottom of this description for all the pictures of the chips/scuffs.
Interior
The interior of the Cavalier is very clean, the seats and carpet are exceptionally clean for the age. The head liner is free of any stains. The driver seat does not have any wear on it, neither does the other seats. The overall condition of the seat look great compared to most 7 year old vehicles, and there are no abnormal odors in the car. I have alot of close up pictures of the seats and carpet so you can get a good idea of the condition.
