Description

Please call 765-456-1788 with any questions.

I'm going to include a link with over 80 pictures of the car and a link to a YouTube Video of the car running, I just want to give you alot of information and hope you feel comfortable bidding on this car. Although I'm not a mechanic, i have been around a lot of cars in my life and can give you a good explanation of the vehicle.

This really is a nice 2004 Dodge Stratus SXT Coupe with 82382 miles.

Within the last couple miles I had the car inspected by my mechanic. My mechanic has been working on cars for 15 years, working for a big new car dealership here in town, he is very good and all my vehicles go to him for the inspection and reconditioning. He has his own ASE certified shop and does anything from oil changes to rebuilding engines.

He inspected it and told me its a very solid car. He looked it over and took it for a test drive, it did not need brakes and the engine and transmission did not have any issues. The fluids all looked good but i had him replace the engine oil and filter just to be safe. There are no mechanical issues with the car so I am including a 3 month 3000 mile engine & transmission warranty at no additional cost as an added piece of mind for the next owner.

Mechanically
I personally drive all the vehicles i sell for a few days. This one i put approx 40 miles on and it drives great in town and on the highway. The engine does not make any abnormal noises, no ticking or knocking. It idles very smooth when in park and accelerates without any hesitation or jerking. These cars last a very long time with regular maintenance so if you continue the good maintenance, you will get alot of miles out of this one. The transmission shifts smooth with no issues, it doesn't clunk or shift in to gear hard. Highway passing gear is also great with no abnormal "jerking". There are no mechanical issues with this car at all and I wouldn't hesitate to drive the car on Florida. If you look around on any other car site that sells vehicles, you will see that these Dodge 2.4L 4-cyl engines are good for along time. If you search some of the online auto sale sites ( cars.com autotrader.com craigslist.com etc.. ) you will find alot of these with more then 150.000 miles but still in excellent mechanical condition. This one has has right under 83000 so it still has alot of life left.

Electrical
The AC and heat works great, cruise control works just like it should, both power windows work and so does the 5 disc CD changer. There are no electrical issues with the car.

Exterior
The Stratus was very well cared for by the previous owner and it definitely shows. The over all paint condition is in great shape with no clear coat issues or deep scratches.
But just like every vehicle that has actually been driven on the road and not parked in a garage for car shows, there are a few minor cosmetic chips and scuffs. They are very minor and hard to see unless you get approx a half a foot away from the car or right at eye level. If your walking around the car it looks great and the paint is not faded anywhere. The minor flaws are not major but its there and i have taken over 80 high resolution pictures of it so you can see. I have taken photos of all the chips and scuffs with a caption above the photo so you can see them. Again, they are very minor and if your walking around the car its very hard to see, you have to get very close (eye level) to see these. But they are there and i just want to describe the car as best as i can.
There are about 3-4 very small rock chips on the hood that has been touched up. There are also 3 small dings on the passenger side and two on the driver side. The door molding strip also has some chips on it, this strip is there to prevent someone from causing a dent in your door when they open their door, looks like there has been a few doors that opened and hit the strip. It did not dent the door underneath, so the strip has been doing its job just fine by preventing that :) There is a tiny chip on the rear bumper and a very faint crease by the fuel door. There is also a scratch on the passenger side lower rocker molding. I took a close up picture of every flaw i could see with my finger pointing towards the chip/scuff, take a look at the photo album at the bottom of this description to see all the pictures.
Interior
The interior is very clean, the seats are exceptionally clean for the age. The head liner is free of any stains. The driver seat does not have any abnormal wear on, no stains and no spots, neither does any of the other seats. The interior does not smell like smoke either. I have alot of close up pictures of the interior so you can get a good idea of the condition.
I'm very picky, maybe too picky but I tried to put myself in a buyer's position and I would like to know everything not just a few outside photos. I buy alot of cars and sometimes i wish people were more honest when it comes to describing the mechanical and cosmetic condition of their cars.
I have taken many photos of the car and photos of every flaw that i can see so that you can get an accurate idea of the condition. When I buy a car i would rather have a lot of information then very little. The cosmetic flaws are very minimal but they are there and i feel it is necessary to show you all around the vehicle and just not the "good side". But it is a 2004 Stratus and not a brand new car so there are some minor in perfections and i hope i have detailed everything to your satisfaction. To sum it up, its in really great condition considering the age, compared to most 5 year old car's out there, this one is in great condition.
