OUR STORY by Velvet & & his sister, Vixen (AKA “The Twins”) We were born to a disadvantaged mother—she had no one to take care of her... so she had to hunt, beg or steal all of her food. Some of our earliest memories are of hunger and fear. When the time came to leave our mom, we two decided to go it together. We made quite a pair, searching for food together and avoiding all humans, until the day that they finally caught us with food in a cage. Oh, we were scrawny, skinny, flea-bitten and dirty when we came into our foster home. There we got fed—all we wanted!--dewormed and deflea-ed, and horrors!! bathed—before we came into the house. At first, we were scared by normal household activities, but gradually we learned that it was OK, and we actually began to enjoy being held and petted and played with. Meanwhile, we grew and became sleek, with shiny coats and bright eyes. We still live as a team, and cry for eachother when separated. We look so much alike, that its very difficult to tell us apart. We are very loving and jump up into our people's lap whenever they sit down! We are hoping there is a home somewhere out there for both of us. (Ask about our special “two for one” price).
