Great Pyrenees - Large - Adult - Female - Dog - Needs forever ho
Description
Pearl came into rescue in September 2008 emaciated and with scarcoptic mange. Thanks to many "pyrlovers" who donated for her care, we were able to provide the medical care she needed to get her healthy again. She has now gained 40 lbs, and grown her coat back in, which is now thick and luxurious and is ready for a forever home. Pearl is young, we estimate about 2 years old. She gets along fine with other dogs and enjoys playing and romping with them. She would do best in an all adult home or one with older children She has an under bite, which makes eating quickly difficult, so she will need a quiet area to eat her meals. She would do fine as a solo dog or with a submissive male canine companion. Pearl will be placed as inside pet with outside privileges to an above ground securely fenced yard. Pyrs do not do well with wireless fencing. We recommend obedience training for all newly adopted pyrs, to help you create a special bond with you and your new friend.
