Great Pyrenees - Medium - Senior - Female - Dog - Sunny

Sunny needs some TLC and a home where she can put some weight on, and work on growing her fur back in. She was turned into the shetler by her owner, emaciated and with no hair due to a skin infection and in terrible shape, and looks like she has been bred bred over and over. Her owner called the vet and when he found out it would cost him $200 to have her treated and vetted, he took her to the shelter. She is an older girl, probably 8 years old. She has really come into her own since in rescue. She is friendly and sweet, and would be a great companion for someone who appreciates the knowledge and love an older dog can provide. She is housebroken, and does not need to be crated. Sunshine will be placed as inside pet with outside privileges to a secure above ground fenced yard. Pyrs do not do well with wireless fencing.We recommend obedience training for all newly adopted pyrs, to help you create a special bond with you and your new friend, although Sunny is so well behaved, she would not need to go.
