Their step sister has developed allergies to pet dander and since she is with the family 50% of the time these two girls have lost what they thought was their furever home. Here is what Sally's mommy had to say about her:Sally – loves everything about the outdoors and when inside, she sits in a chair so she can see outside. Toys provide countless hours of enjoyment whether independently playing or sharing the experience with another dog or human. Her favorite toys are those that make noise. She must have been pulled from her mother at too young an age and “nurses” on her bed when all are settling for the evening. She is definitely a follower in the pack and tries to emulate everything about the dominant female. Sally is highly trainable and always trying to understand and please.UPDATE 7/10/08 Sally has hit the jackpot! Her flood foster mom has decided to make Sally and Missy Anne part of her permanent family! Now the two furry kids have three human brothers/sisters, and we know there is a lot of lovin' going on in this house! Sally had to stay with us at the farm for a couple of days, and we hear she was just SO HAPPY so see her new mom when she came back to get her! Remember the song that said 'all ya need is love?' Sally thinks so! :-)**********11/18/07: Can you believe that Sally is still here at the rescue? I can't! She is a small/medium size dog, sweet and loving as can be, loves to try to catch the birds (no success) but, she is timid here at the rescue with all of the other dogs. Some of these kids would come out of their shells so quickly once they got into a home and felt safe and secure. Sally is one of them! She just loves to cuddle up with me by the wood stove in the kennel.One of our adopters brought Sally in on the day he picked up his new family member from us. She showed up at his stables the day before, we've tried unsuccessfully to find her owners. It's time for her to become part of a new family. Sally is a sweet, pretty, little girl and would make a welcome addition to absolutely any family. Sally weighs 29#, spay, up to date on her vaccinations, heartworm negative and on heartworm/flea/tic preventative every month.We do not adopt to 'outside only' homes nor homes without fenced yards.
