* { font:inherit; } This is Janie! (01SEP09) Janie came to us from the local humane society. She'd been picked up by animal control after having been hit by a car, and no owners ever came to claim her. Janie is about 10-12 years old, weighs 36 lbs, and is afantastic dog! She's incredibly sweet and loving with all people. She tolerates the other dogs in her foster home, but would much prefer being the only one receiving your attention! She feels the same way about cats. Janie is housebroken, even after the accident! She is unable to mover her tail much, but is extremely expressive with her ears and her beautiful soft brown puppy-dog eyes. Janie was left with a broken pelvis after her accident, and has been recovering steadily. She started walking again just 2 weeks after being hit, which is fantastic.She's maintained agreat attitude the whole time, even though she's been in somepain. Janie will recover from her injuries, but she'll never be 100%. She appears to havesome nerve damage in herleft leg, though she's using it a littl emore every day. Her good right hip isnot so gooddue to a chronic degenerative condition. She'll be able to get around, but will always have some difficulty. She won't be able to go for long walks or get up and down stairs very well, but she can and will maneuver around the house to be with you. Janie is on a joint supplement that will need to be continued to help with her hips. If you're looking for a sweet old dog who'll just hang out with you, Janie could be the one! Janie is spayed, microchipped, UTD on vaccinations, heartworm negative and on preventative, flea/worm treated, and housebroken! Her adoption fee is $90.
