I traded for this Tracker almost 2 weeks ago (10-20-09). It has 209.755 miles.The customer that traded it in purchased the car when it had 96.000 miles and had owned the car since 08-25-04 (per the title). It was his daily driver so he was pretty adamant about taking care of it mechanically. About 8 months ago he had the timing belt replaced, new spark plugs, new spark plug wires and 4 new tires.

Mechanically
Since the day i traded for the Tracker I have been driving it back and forward to work. Mechanically its really solid, its not a Cadillac and it sure doesnt ride like one, but it sure has been reliable since I have been driving it. The previous owner told me he never had any mechanical issues with it. It starts right up every morning, i dont have to crank it for more then 2 seconds and it will start and idle great. No abnormal noises during start up. The clutch feels very good and it does not slip, i went full throttle in second and third gear a few times on the highway with no slipping in the clutch. Since the top is pretty old and doesnt zip shut in the back, you hear alot of wind noise when your diving the car. But it drives straight with no abnormal drive train vibrations.

Electrical
The car doesnt have AC but the heat works great and so does the radio. Not very many fancy electrical options on this one.

Exterior
The over all paint condition is in pretty good shape other then some rock chips on the hood and font bumper. The lower part of the driver and passenger door has some surface rust, right under that there is a rust hole on the driver side. Its on the rocker panel. There are a few small scratches around the car and i took close up pictures of everything so you can see.
Interior
The interior is pretty clean considering i just had it detailed. The driver seat has a rip in the vinyl part (see pictures) other then that the overall interior condition is good, considering its a 13 year old vehicle.
I have taken a lot of photos of the car and photos of every flaw that i can see so that you can get an accurate idea of the condition. When i buy a car i would rather have a ton of information then very little. It is a 1996 and not a brand new car so there are some cosmetic issues, but they are not horrible considering the age. To sum it up, your getting a reliable car at a very cheap price, its not a car you take your prom date out in, but it will get you to work at back and serve as a good daily driver.
